Not known for their subtlety, Greta Van Fleet’s bombastic production and theatrical style lended itself well to an arena full of screaming fans during their performance in Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena back in July. Their set heavily leaned on songs from their recent third studio album Starcatcher. Even though their sound harkens back to the 70s blues rock of Led Zeppelin, there was a surprisingly young crowd.

In contrast to the pyro and flamboyant outfits, Greta Van Fleet maneuvered to an additional smaller stage opposite of the main stage for several acoustic performances. A more stripped down approach proved they can still command an audience without the pomp and circumstance.

Support act Silversun Pickups did not have a grandiose production, but did showcase an alternative rock sound that provided a slight contrast to what would come.
