
Emerging pop artist Hailey Knox premiered her debut EP For the Best back in July. Knox remarks that For the Best is “about accepting what is. Reflections on when love hurts, growing together and apart, closing chapters, and starting new ones.”

Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell recently announced his next solo album I Want Blood, which will be available on October 18. Cantrell says that “there’s a confidence to this album. I think it’s some of my best songwriting and playing, and certainly some of my best singing.” He is currently on a North American tour with Bush until September.

Bose and NME released the collaborative C24 mixtape on July 19, which highlights breakout artists with seven exclusive tracks. Teddy Swims, Laufey, Royel Otis, Lola Young, Artemas, TEHYA, and Samara Cyn are all featured on the mixtape.

New Zealand hard rock act Black Smoke Trigger released its debut studio album Horizons on August 2. Guitarist Charlie Wallace states that “we are beyond excited to finally release the album Horizons, it has been such a crazy journey to get to this point and we poured everything we have into it.”

Singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz will be releasing her new single “Showtime, Baby!” on August 16. Gutherz describes the country-tinged pop-rock tune as an exploration of “the tension between living authentically for myself and living to meet others’ expectations.”

Experimental metal collective Respire released its sophomore album Hiraeth in July through Dine Alone Records. According to the band, Hiraeth “is a manifesto of the immigrant experience; a call for all of us to embrace our shared humanity, awaken to the fragility of our existence, and confront the crises we face collectively before it’s too late.” Respire will be embarking on a North American tour in September.

L.A.- based indie rock band One Outta Ten just dropped the new album Better Days. All of the members experienced loss this year, and frontman Josh de Leon remarked that “making these songs is my way of saying I’m still alive, and we’re doing fine. We won’t let the loss stop us.”

Indie rock band The Inside Out recently shared the new single “Good Times” and accompanying music video. Frontman James Howard describes that the song is about “the sarcastic feelings of negative events and relationships” and “the fact that those moments are also good when they are and when they’re not, they’re not, and that’s okay.”
