Bay Area indie rock duo Chokecherry brought in a full crowd at the tiny Three Links in Dallas on Tuesday, but don’t expect cramped spaces in the near future.

Between the group’s recently released debut album Ripe Fruit Rots and Falls and a captivating live performance, Chokecherry is a new rock band to watch.

Every opening band felt like a different element of rock. Dallas act Slowly combined shoegaze and indie rock, Gluestick brought out the punk, and The Sewing Club went the alternative route.

Chokecherry is an amalgamation of all facets of rock and alternative music- making the band a perfect headliner.

Though the duo just formed in 2022, Chokecherry already has the stage presence and the songs needed to turn heads. From the set opener “Porcelain Warrior” to a finale that included fans jumping around on the stage, these California rockers are ready for bigger venues and more success.
