Shygirl‘s upcoming EP Club Shy Room 2 will drop on February 28 after the release of last year’s EP Club Shy. The dance music aficionado’s new EP will feature appearances by Jorja Smith, BAMBII and SadBoi.

She also recently shared the new single “True Religion,” which features captivating vocals from PinkPantheress and Isabella Lovestory.

French singer and producer Oklou shared her new single “take me by the hand” featuring Swedish rapper Bladee. “I wanted this song to sound like something ethereal but also very earthy – Bladee’s voice is helping to keep the feet on the ground,” she says about her new spacious, electronic track.

Oklou’s debut album choke enough will be released on February 7, before she heads out on a European and North American tour.



Avery Lynch released her new single “the boys who don’t know what they want” this month. The singer-songwriter describes the song as “about those ‘almost’ relationships that I’ve been in myself and have observed around me — people will act the part of someone in a relationship while not wanting one, or they’ll want a relationship and not act on it.”

Shoegaze band Glixen shared the new song “All Tied Up” ahead of the group’s sophomore EP Quiet Pleasures, which will be out on February 21. The quartet will embark on an extensive tour in North America this February and March before performing at Coachella in April.

Punk band Hot Water Music premiered the music video for “Much Love,” which is the final track off the group’s 2024 album Vows. The single features vocals from Aimee Interrupter and Kevin Bivona of The Interrupters. The band also released the EP Split with Quicksand last October.

Metal act SUMAC and experimental artist Moor Mother announced their collaborative album The Film, which will arrive on April 25. The first taste of the album is the hauntingly distorted, slowly building track “Scene 1.”

The partners-in-heaviness will be performing together in Berlin and Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands this April, in addition to SUMAC’s headlining tour in Europe.



Singer-songwriter Rosa Bordallo will release her second full-length album Isidro on January 31. Originally from Guam and now based in New York City, Bordallo wrote the songs during the pandemic and explains that she was grieving “personal tragedies as well as the collective loss.”

“It was the realization that my ancestors survived their own catastrophic near-demise that gave me perspective. I’m a survivor. We all are,” she says.



LA-based Fake Suede will drop his new single “Love Don’t Come Easy” on January 31. Otherwise known as Jeffrey James, the singer-songwriter mixes R&B, soul, pop, and indie rock on his new track about the rollercoaster of modern dating.
