Moses Sumney premiered the remix of his single “Hey Girl” from the R&B and soul-influenced 2024 EP Sophcore. Titled “Hey Girl(s),” the remixed track features singer Syd and musician/poet Meshell Ndegeocello, who just won a Grammy for Best Alternative Jazz Album.

Sumney previously explained that Sophcore “explores the meeting points between sensuality and intuition… esotericism and populism… deep feeling and fun. It’s diving into subterranean rhythm, bass and drums, and making music for the hips as well as the heart.”

Progressive rock/metal act Coheed and Cambria shared the new single and music video for “Someone Who Can” from the upcoming album The Father of Make Believe, which will be available on March 14. Vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez explains the meaning behind the song: “when you’re growing up, you’re perpetually trying to understand the world that’s changing around you. Over time, it’s comforting to reach the conclusion that you’ll never truly have things figured out.” 

The band will also be embarking on a co-headline tour with Mastodon starting in May, and then another co-headline tour with Taking Back Sunday starting in August.

R&B singer/producer Mereba dropped the new album The Breeze Grew a Fire and also a music video for “Heart of a Child.” In support of the album, she will be on a North American tour this April and May.

For the creation of the album, she spent a lot of time by herself, which she found significant. “It was really important for me at this time of life because I was a little disconnected from the world, and from who I was,” she says. “So I was trying to find my way back to myself first. What do I like? What do I want to hear? What do I want to say to people now?”

Welsh rock band Stereophonics have returned with a new album titled Make ’em Laugh, Make ’em Cry, Make ’em Wait, which will be out on April 25. The four-piece also shared the music video for “There’s Always Gonna Be Something .”

Stereophonics’ North American tour will commence in March and wrap up in April before the band heads to Europe in the summer.

Hawaiian singer Maoli announced his ninth album Last Sip of Summer will be released on June 27, and shared the titular track with its accompanying music video. Born Glenn Awong, Maoli will also be heading out on an extensive North American tour starting in March.

Explaining his Hawaiian heritage, he says: “I feel like Hawaii has something really special to offer the worldbut until now, you’ve had to live here to understand it… I feel like it’s my kuleanamy jobto share that with the world.”



Indie rock four-piece Arcy Drive released the new single “Thrift Store” ahead of a tour with Flipturn beginning in March. Drummer Brooke Tuozzo remarks that “Thrift Store” has “a carefree, silly and absurd vibe that we all wanted to hold onto.”

“Thrift Store” is the fourth single from Arcy Drive’s upcoming album coming out this spring. In 2023, the band released its debut EP Beach Plum.

Pop artist Caroline Romano‘s new EP How the Good Girls Die will be available on February 21. Romano explains that the new EP is about “feeling both young and old, breaking hearts, and having your own heart shattered into a thousand pieces. This EP is about how the good girls die.”

Romano’s latest single, “IDK These Days,” was released in January and will be included in How the Good Girl Die.



The Montreal-based singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz dropped the new classic rock and pop-tinged song “Dance Around It,” which was co-written with Mikal Blue and Bret “Epic” Mazur.

“This song captures the bittersweet joy of being deeply in love while quietly fearing its fragility,” Gutherz says. “It’s about cherishing the beauty of the present while grappling with the ‘what ifs’ that loom in the background. It’s a dance of vulnerability and courage, choosing to love fully even in the face of uncertainty.”

Punk duo Iron Lung returns with the new single “Lifeless Life” ahead of new album Adapting // Crawling, which will be out via the band’s own Iron Lung Records on April 18.

Iron Lung Records will be celebrating the label’s 18th anniversary with the three-day What We Like Fest in Seattle this April.

Maddie Regent released the new single “Turtleneck” ahead of the debut full-length album On the phone with my mom, which will be available on May 16.

The New York-based indie pop singer/songwriter explains that “Turtleneck” is “about how lost you can get after getting out of a relationship. It’s tempting to ground yourself in the memory of what was, rather than accepting what is.”
