Model, actress, and songwriter Suki Waterhouse is moving on up on the indie scene since the release of her amusingly titled second studio album Memoir of a Sparklemuffin in September. She has already cemented her success in the fashion industry as an in-demand model, but Waterhouse is now bringing a more personal, creative insight to the masses with an immersive North American tour.

Waterhouse took full advantage of a larger venue for this album cycle with a thematic contrast of glamor and naturalism in Dallas, Texas at The Factory. The stage was strewn with foliage and a forest background, but also featured a large disco ball hanging from the ceiling. She was in full cool-girl mode- with a faux fur blue coat, red shorts, and a gold-chained top.

Since her performance last winter at the Echo Lounge, Waterhouse has improved her ability to command a stage. Fans hung onto her every word as the paced the stage to present herself to all areas of the crowd.
Bully was a grungy, rock ‘n roll approach that gave a little edge to the night. Singer and guitarist Alicia Bognanno’s rough-around-the-edges vocals were a nice surprise as an opener for Suki Waterhouse’s pop-rock sound.

Suki Waterhouse performed more than half of the songs from the 18-track Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, and fans were excited for every song. It’s apparent that Waterhouse has now solidified herself as a singer, songwriter, and musician in addition to a myriad of talents.
